  • Children’s Hospital of the University Medical Centre Ljubljana

    It is the largest children’s hospital in Slovenia. The funds will support the expansion of music therapy for children receiving treatment at the hospital. Music therapy can significantly improve the well-being of children and their families, and our aim is to make it available across more departments. Every contribution will help bring the healing power of music to more children.

Mojca Lavrenčič

Mojca Lavrenčič is one of Slovenia’s most promising young conductors. She has conducted leading Slovenian orchestras and opera productions internationally. In 2026, she won First Prize at the prestigious La Maestra International Conducting Competition in Paris, along with five of the seven special prizes.

Soloist

Lana Trotovšek

Our soloist will be the internationally acclaimed Slovenian violinist Lana Trotovšek. She has performed with leading orchestras and conductors around the world and at major concert halls including Wigmore Hall and the Concertgebouw. She is a recipient of the 2021 Prešeren Fund Award for her outstanding artistic achievements.

Tilen Slakan

We are especially excited to present a new commissioned work by Slovenian composer Tilen Slakan, dedicated to the EDO. His new piece will be written especially for our orchestra and premiered in Ljubljana, making it a unique and memorable part of the EDO 2027 gathering.
