Charities

  • Musik Statt Strasse

It aims to give Roma children in the poor neighbourhood of Nadezhda in Sliven, a former industrial town, a future through classical music education. The children from the poorest families receive lessons in violin, guitar or piano as well as painting twice a week, and all participating children receive a meal. The project has now been working for 10 years and the first children have graduated, some going on to higher education and training – including medicine - which would not have been possible without the support of the project.
