Chamber Music in Waldkirch, Germany

A new chamber music event !

This matinee chamber music concert in Waldkirch is at the invitation of and for the enjoyment and support of the “Gemeinschaft am Bruckwald“, a community residence for people with special needs.

It is part of a chamber music cycle “Kammermusik am Bruckwald” that has been running for numerous seasons there and is organized by a retired professor of genetics whose daughter is a resident of the community.

Entry is free, donations are welcome. 

14 musicians, from 7 different European Countries, will be lead by Chris Whiting, who has conducted EDO on numerous occasions. The pianist Elaine Fukunaga will accompagny the musicians on several pieces.

F. Mendelssohn Bartholdy : Concerto for violin and piano in d minor

Paul Hindemith : Trauermusik

Frank Martin : Pavane Couleur du Temps

Jean Sibelius : Impromptu Op. 5

Edvard Grieg : Two Elegiac Melodies Op. 34

Giacomo Puccini : Crisantemi for strings

Edward Elgar : Salut d’amour for solo violin and strings

 

There’ll also be a concert in the Church Hall of Endingen on Saturday 10th evening, time to be announced, same programme !
