Join us in the shared ambition of music making across borders !
The European Doctors Orchestra has now been meeting and performing for over 20 years. We know there are a number of supporters who regularly buy tickets to our concerts, some even travelling with the orchestra for our weekend events. However, as charities face escalating financial challenges, the orchestra wishes to maximise its fundraising activities by encouraging more ‘Friends’ to join us in the shared ambition of music making across borders.
So, we invite you to help by becoming ‘Friend of EDO’, which is open to anyone wishing to promote the valuable work of medical charities through the power of music. For a small annual donation Friends will receive regular updates about the orchestra and advanced information about concerts, hotels, and social events.
We would also like to maintain regular contact with former players and musicians. We appreciate that not all musicians are available to play in our performances, and not all can buy tickets every time, but all can become a Friend.

Gift aid info for donors who are UK tax payers.
The EDO has been a registered charity in the UK since 2013. The orchestra is able to claim funds back from UK HMRC under the ‘Gift Aid’ tax reimbursement scheme. Donations can be declared to HMRC by us, resulting in a 25% reimbursement to the orchestra, as a result increasing our charitable donations.
For donors who are higher rate tax payer you can obtain an additional portion of tax relief by including your Gift Aid donation on your annual tax return. It is necessary for people who are part of this scheme to fill in and return a Gift Aid form (attached below) to us (only once). HMRC requires us to keep a record of your current address however, so please inform us if you move house.
Become a Friend of the EDO
Friends will get regular updates on our activities and advance information about concert venues, music programmes and ticket sales, and invitations to join the orchestra in hotels and at social events. At the same time, for a small donation, you will help us to continue performing exciting and varied musical programmes in venues across Europe while we donate the profit on ticket sales to a local medical or children’s charity.
