About EDO

The European Doctors Orchestra has been giving high quality performances all over Europe for over twenty years. We raise money for charities mainly focussed on children and health care.

We are doctors from many different specialities, and at least 23 different countries. We are also experienced musicians striving to perform to the highest standard.

We gather several times a year, each time in a different country in Europe, for 4 days of rehearsals ending with a Symphonic Concert, conducted by a professional conductor.

We have started to add smaller chamber and rehearsal events to our activities

Music for charities

The aim of every concert is to play great music to a high standard, give pleasure to an audience, and most importantly, raise money for a local charity related to health and well-being.

Players enjoy a nurturing break from their work and a truly memorable experience playing together.

A local organisation team, with the help of our Trustees, takes care of all the details to make sure everything goes well and we have a great time. They also choose the programme, the conductor and the charity we’re playing for.

Players pay for their own travel, accommodation and make a donation to cover the costs of putting on the concert. All ticket sales go to the chosen charity. It is a great pleasure to spend time and play music together with people sharing the same passions of medicine and music.
